2006 Alumni Project
In 2006 the Madison Scouts Alumni Corps was born. Their mission was to develop and produce an on-field show for the DCI Semifinals at Camp Randall Stadium in August of 2006. From February to August of 2006, more than 240+ alumni attended weekend rehearsal camps in Madison. Most of the alumni wanted to relive their glory days and make another fond memory with the Scouts. As time progressed, they also wanted to meet the current Scouts (Skinny Scouts). The Skinnies also were excited to see what their predecessors had up their sleeves. They eached viewed the performances and all were genuinely enthused. Afterwards all of the Scouts got together and sung their theme song You'll Never Walk Alone. This helped to strengthen the support from alumni and the respect from the Skinnies. In fact, the whole thing was such a success that in 2014 the alumni were reassembled to play in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade of 2014.
Macy's Thanksgiving Parade of 2014

In 2014 the Madison Scouts Alumni Corps was reassembled to march in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Corps of Brothers was made, consisting of the present day Madison Scouts and the alumni. Altogether there were 400+ members marching in the parade. The Scouts brought in Santa, which is the highest honor in the parade. The Christmas themed song has elements of Pharrel Williams' Happy. Only four other non-military drum corps have been selected for the parade since 1975. After, decades of Scouts performed together the whole group gathered and sang their theme song You'll Never Walk Alone. The parade was a success and the Rose Bowl Parade may have a similar event in the future.
